History and legend
Narayanavanam was the capital of King Akasaraja, Padmavathi's father. Legend says he held his daughter's wedding to Lord Venkateswara here.
The temple was established in 1541 CE, and TTD runs it today.
What makes it unique
- It is believed to be the actual wedding site of the Lord and Padmavathi.
- Several smaller TTD shrines stand around it.
