Privacy Policy

Nirvana Backpackers (“we”, “us”) runs a dorm hostel at 6-43/2, near Subbaya Gari Hotel, Padmavathi Puram, Korramenugunta, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh 517501. This policy covers our website, online booking, web check-in, WhatsApp and email, and your stay with us.

When you book or check in:

• Name, phone number, email, gender and date of birth
• Home country, state and address, where you are arriving from and going next
• Arrival time and stay dates
• Photos of your government ID (for example Aadhaar, passport or driving licence)
• Payments you make and their references (we do not see or store card or UPI PINs)

When you visit the website: the page you open, the website that sent you (for example google.com), your approximate city and state, and whether you use a phone or computer. We do not store your IP address, and the visitor ID we use changes every day, so we cannot identify you from it.

When you contact us on WhatsApp, phone or email: your messages and number.

• To hold and confirm your booking, assign your bed and check you in
• To verify your identity and keep guest records, as Indian law requires of places that host guests (including foreign-guest reporting such as Form C)
• To send booking confirmations, receipts, check-in links and stay information
• To answer your questions and look after you during your stay
• To keep the hostel safe and prevent misuse or fraud
• To understand how the website is used, so we can improve it
• After check-out, to thank you and ask for a review (you can ignore or opt out)

We do not sell your information. We share it only with:

• Service providers that run our systems for us: website hosting (Vercel), database and file storage (Supabase), email delivery (Resend) and WhatsApp (Meta). They may only use it to provide their service.
• Booking platforms such as Booking.com, when you book through them.
• Partners you choose to contact, such as bike and car rental providers listed on our site. We do not pass them your details; you contact them directly.
• Government and police, when the law requires it, for example guest registers and foreign-guest reports.

• ID photos are shrunk on your device before upload and stored privately. Only our hostel crew can open them, after signing in.
• They are never shown on your booking page or sent in emails.
• For returning guests, we may reuse the ID you shared before so you don't have to upload it again.

We keep booking records and ID documents only as long as Indian law requires for guest records, and for accounts and tax. After that we delete them. Website visit data is kept in anonymous form.

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with providers that use industry-standard security. Admin access needs a personal login, and each crew member sees only what they need. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you if a breach affects you.

You can ask us to:

• Show you the information we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete your information, unless the law requires us to keep it
• Stop sending you non-essential messages

Email nirvananest.tpt@gmail.com from the email or phone number you booked with. We reply within 30 days.

Our guest website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser may save small settings, such as dismissing a welcome message. Our admin system uses a sign-in cookie for the crew only.

Our dorms are for guests aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; big changes will be shown on this page.
