Mamanduru Forest
Timing & entry
Entry is controlled by the Forest Department and needs prior permission, often through a tour operator. Entry and guide fees apply. Access can be shut at short notice.
Best time to visit
October to February. Avoid peak summer.
Location
A forest village in the Eastern Ghats on the Tirupati–Kadapa highway, about 25 km from Tirupati. Two forest roads link it to Tirumala.
What to do
Guided nature trails and treks, a riverbed walk to the Bethelaru stream, a long trek to Brahmadevuni Gundam pool, birding and wildlife watching.
There is a basic Forest Department guest house for overnight stays.
