History and legend
This is the shrine of Vakula Devi, the Lord's foster mother, on Peruru Banda hill. Legend says she was Yashoda reborn and arranged Srinivasa's wedding to Padmavathi.
The temple lay in ruins from the 17th century until TTD rebuilt it over 11 years. It reopened on 23 July 2022.
What makes it unique
- Her idol faces the seven hills, where her son lives.
- By tradition, food offerings go to her before they go to the Lord at Tirumala.

Take an auto or cab. The last stretch climbs the hill. Pair it with the Padmavathi temple.
